Setting Sail and all is Well

0 °F

We left Vancouver at 5pm on Sunday, right on time. The ship seems empty, with only 500 passengers, as the other 600 will join us in LA on Wednesday and when we reach Hawaii. Ed’s first interdenominational service was Sunday night with a few faithful folk.
. I will be posting in the blog mostly concerning port days, unless you want to see pictures of us on the ship walking, eating, and Ed working at the computer! Our 8:30 pm dinner companions are Tim and Doreen from Melbourne,Australia. They are sailing home after traveling for the past 2 months!
One of our little Swedish horses has hitched a ride with us- you may see him in the occasional picture!

While on Vancouver Island we visited Butchart Gardens, blooming for more than a hundred years. This is the Sunken Garden.

Flying to Victoria

0 °F

On Saturday, which dawned clear and bright, we flew in a seaplane to Victoria, the capital of British Columbia, on Vancouver Island. The little planes are an exciting way to travel!

Red Sox Nation in Vancouver

0 °F

We are standing near Canada Place, the cruise port. Everyone we have met have been super friendly, even though they mostly don't recognise the red sox caps! The Sox won today, by the way!

Rooting out evil

0 °F

We are in Vancouver! All is well and as we explored the waterfront early this afternoon we came upon various works of art- this one really stopped us! It is the artist’s vision of “ the tool to root out evil”!
